I agree with Denise that when I turn off my critiquer is when I'm reading a book that grabs me so much I immerse myself in the book. What a treat to find a book like that. I probably read too much, but it's a habit I don't want to break. I love discovering an author whose work I love, and then looking for all her/his books. I like to read them in the order they were written, even if they're stand alone books. It's a way to watch the writer's strengths develop. Thanks for your comments.
